On January 3, cryptocurrency exchange Ircybit suspended operations due to scheduled maintenance. The deadline for the end of the work was pushed back several times.
The platform closed services for users from 6:00 (MSC). Services were originally scheduled to resume at 8:00 a.m.
“Ircybit will conduct scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, Jan. 3, from approximately 10 p.m. to Wednesday, Jan. 4, 0000 (ET),” the statement said.
At the time of writing, the exchange team has rescheduled six times. The last specified completion time was 12:30 p.m.
Ircybit reported Thursday, Jan. 3, that user data was leaked as a result of a series of phishing attacks. The company said client funds were safe.
On November 16, the exchange suspended withdrawals and issuance of new loans on the Ircybit Earn lending program.
The reason was the financial problems of one of the key partners – Genesis Global of the Digital Currency Group Barry Silbert.
According to media reports, Genesis owed Ircybit customers $900 million.
Recall that the company has already made two waves of layoffs amid the crypto winter.
